Founded in 2017, AlgoBrain.in aimed to democratize algorithmic trading in India. The platform allowed developers and quant traders to code, backtest, and list their trading algorithms for sale or lease. Retail investors and traders could then browse this marketplace, select a strategy that matched their risk profile, and deploy it in their own brokerage accounts. In 2021, the company and its intellectual property were acquired by TradeTron.tech, a larger, more established player in the same algo-trading marketplace space, to consolidate their market position and integrate AlgoBrain's user base and technology.
