African Export-Import Bank

Established in October 1993, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is a supranational financial institution with a mission to stimulate the expansion, diversification, and development of African trade. Headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the Bank was created under the auspices of the African Development Bank to act as a central hub for trade finance across the continent. Its primary services include providing credit, risk-bearing instruments, and trade information and advisory services to support projects and transactions that enhance Africa's position in the global marketplace.
