Main requirements

For acquiring a license for organizing trading of foreign exchange the applicants shall submit to the Central Bank the following documents:

1. Application for acquiring a license.
2. Charter of the Exchange.
3. Statement about the Executive Director and the Chief Accountant of the Exchange.(curriculum vitae, where information on the professional activities shall be presented for the past 5 years, particularly: place of employment, employment starting and ending dates, and positions occupied)
4. Statement provided by the authorized agency certifying that the Executive Director and the Chief Accountant of the Exchange do not have criminal record or are not involved in criminal investigation.
5. Statement about the owners of the Exchange.
6. Foreign exchange trading rules adopted by the Exchange.
7. Clearing and settlement rules of foreign exchange trading adopted by the Exchange.
8. Regulations adopted by the Exchange on organizing foreign exchange trading, which shall include all the documents concerning the rules and procedures of organizing the trading.
9. Payment slip showing the amount of the state duty stipulated by the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On State Duty” for acquiring a license.
10. Resolution of the authorized body of the Exchange or the respective section from the minutes on organizing foreign exchange trading.
11. Registration certificate of the Exchange.

For getting a license for foreign currency dealer/broker activity, the licensee should submit the following documents to the Central Bank:

1. An application for getting a license.
2. Copies of the statute and state registration certificate. 
3. A copy of the decision of the competent authority on the appointment of the head (executive director or a person performing such duties) of the legal person. 
4. Receipt of state duty payment .
5. Tax payer registration number approved by the State Revenue Committee, adjunct body of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
6. Reference on the license.
7. A copy of professional qualification certificate of the person who is responsible to carry out the licensed work. If the person has previously passed the professional qualification examination and got positive result, but wasn’t provided with the professional qualification certificate by the Central Bank, then he can submit the copy of a foreign currency dealer license or an insert of a license, where his/her name, and surname and passport data is indicated.
8. Reference on the employee.
9. A copy of the certificate of the ownership right’s registration toward the territory or the copy of the contract of rent sub-rent or free use ratified by notary and the copy of the certificate of rent sub-rent free use rights registered in relevant state body.
10. A report on mailing address on which the licensed person will agree to get the license of foreign currency dealer/broker. If the person who presents an application for getting a license of foreign currency dealer/broker is a licensed person carrying out professional activities in securities market, then the documents mentioned in 2-nd sub point of this paragraph are not submitted.
