Originally launched as TomoChain in 2018, the project was created to solve the scalability problems of the Ethereum blockchain. It utilized a unique Proof-of-Stake Voting (PoSV) consensus mechanism to achieve high transaction speeds (up to 2000 TPS) and near-zero fees while maintaining decentralization. The platform supported all EVM-compatible smart contracts, protocols, and tools. In November 2023, TomoChain rebranded to Viction to signify a new vision focused on providing a "people-centric" Layer-1 blockchain that simplifies Web3 access and experience for a global user base.
