Originally developed by Figure Technologies in 2018, it is now stewarded by the non-profit Provenance Blockchain Foundation. Its mission is to provide a modern, secure, and compliant infrastructure for financial asset origination, servicing, and exchange. The platform enables the tokenization of real-world assets (like loans and mortgages), digital asset marketplaces, and payment systems, all while incorporating features for identity, compliance, and data control necessary for the financial industry. Its native token is HASH, which is used for network staking and transaction fees.
