The Prime Unicorn Index is a financial data product created through a collaboration between Lagniappe Labs, a private company data and analytics firm, and Prime Indexes, a research and development firm specializing in creating innovative, investable indexes. The index provides a benchmark for the performance of U.S. venture-backed, private companies with a valuation of $1 billion or more (known as "unicorns"). Its mission is to bring transparency to the private market by providing a reliable and objective performance metric for this otherwise opaque asset class, serving institutional investors, financial advisors, and the media.
