PlasmaPay

Founded by Ilia Maksimenka, PlasmaPay was developed as a financial services ecosystem to make cryptocurrency accessible and usable for everyday transactions. Its mission was to onboard the next billion users to DeFi. The platform provided services such as fiat-to-crypto on/off-ramps, a multi-currency crypto wallet, and developer tools. In 2020, the company shifted its focus more deeply into the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) space, rebranding its core products to Plasma.Finance, which acts as a DeFi aggregator, dashboard, and includes the PlasmaSwap DEX. The original PlasmaPay entity provided the regulatory and payment infrastructure for these services.
