Founded in 2012, Payactiv is a Public Benefit Corporation and a Certified B Corp that created the Earned Wage Access (EWA) category. The company's mission is to alleviate financial stress for lower-income workers by ending the debt cycle caused by the timing gap between work and payday. Payactiv partners with employers to offer their workforce a suite of services, including instant access to earned wages, bill pay, savings tools, budgeting and financial counseling, and discounts, all accessible through a mobile app. This model provides an alternative to high-interest payday loans and overdraft fees, promoting financial security and dignity for hourly workers.
