The Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) is a national, independent, and not-for-profit organization that resolves disputes between participating banking services and investment firms and their customers. Established in 1996, OBSI provides a free alternative to the legal system. Its mission is to be a trusted, effective, and accessible dispute resolution service that contributes to confidence in the Canadian financial services sector.
