Novo Holdings A/S is the holding company for the Novo Group and is wholly owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, one of the world's largest enterprise foundations. Its primary purpose is to manage the foundation's assets, which includes being the controlling shareholder in Novo Nordisk A/S and Novonesis A/S (formerly Novozymes A/S). Beyond this role, Novo Holdings is a significant global life science investor, making direct investments through various teams like Venture, Growth, and Principal Investments, while also managing a diversified portfolio of financial assets. Its mission is to improve people's health and the sustainability of society and the planet by generating attractive long-term returns on the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s assets.
