Incorporated on August 9, 1995, the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) is a Public Limited Company registered under the Companies Act, 1956. Its primary mission is to catalyze the economic development of India's North Eastern Region (NER) by identifying and financing viable business opportunities, from micro-enterprises to large-scale infrastructure projects. NEDFi provides financial assistance through term loans, equity participation, and microfinance, alongside offering consultancy and advisory services to foster entrepreneurship and sustainable growth across various sectors in the region. It is a key financial institution promoted by major public sector stakeholders like SIDBI, SBI, and LIC.
