Monitise

Founded in 2003, Monitise plc was a pioneer in mobile banking technology, providing a platform and services that enabled financial institutions to offer banking and payment services to their customers via mobile devices. The company partnered with major banks, payment processors, and mobile networks globally to create a secure, interoperable mobile money ecosystem. Its core offering evolved into the FINkit platform, a comprehensive suite of APIs and solutions for digital banking. After facing financial challenges, Monitise was acquired by the US financial technology giant Fiserv in September 2017, and its technology and assets were subsequently integrated into Fiserv's digital banking portfolio, ceasing to exist as an independent brand.
