MobileCoin

MobileCoin is a Layer 1 blockchain and cryptocurrency (MOB) project focused on creating an easy-to-use, private, and fast digital payment system. Founded in 2017 by Josh Goldbard and Shane Glynn, its mission is to provide secure, peer-to-peer transactions that protect user privacy, leveraging technologies like Ring Signatures and CryptoNote. The project gained significant attention for its technical design advised by Moxie Marlinspike and its past integration into the end-to-end encrypted messaging app, Signal, which aimed to make private digital payments as simple as sending a text.
