ErisX

Founded with the mission to merge the transparency and regulatory standards of traditional financial markets with the digital asset space, ErisX established itself as a unique platform in the United States. It operated both a spot market for cryptocurrencies and, crucially, a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market (DCM) for futures and a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO) for clearing. This dual-structure was designed to attract institutional and professional traders seeking a compliant and robust trading environment. In May 2022, Cboe Global Markets completed its acquisition of ErisX, which was subsequently rebranded to Cboe Digital to serve as the foundation of Cboe's expansion into digital asset markets.
