Founded and owned by Terry McMaster, the firm operated by licensing individual advisers who would then provide financial advice to retail clients under the Dover brand and compliance framework. The company's business model came under intense scrutiny during Australia's Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry, leading to the rapid cancellation of its licence and subsequent liquidation in 2018.
