Dollarize Inc. is a US-based financial technology company with a mission to provide global access to the US dollar, protecting individuals from local currency devaluation and inflation. Primarily targeting users in Latin America, Dollarize offers a mobile application that allows customers to open a US dollar-denominated account. Users can fund their account with local currency, which is then converted to USD. The platform enables them to save, spend internationally with a virtual or physical debit card, and send dollars. To provide security and legitimacy, brokerage services for the accounts are handled by DriveWealth LLC, a registered US broker-dealer and member of FINRA/SIPC, which protects securities customers of its members up to $500,000.
