Citi India

Established in 1902, Citi India is one of the country's oldest and most prominent foreign banks. As a branch of the global Citigroup, it has a long history of providing a wide array of financial products and services. In a major strategic shift, Citi completed the sale of its consumer banking businesses in India, including retail banking, credit cards, and wealth management, to Axis Bank in March 2023. The bank now focuses exclusively on its institutional client businesses, which include corporate and investment banking, treasury and trade solutions, markets and securities services, and commercial banking, alongside serving ultra-high-net-worth clients through Citi Private Bank.
