BTCPay Server

BTCPay Server is a community-driven, open-source software project that enables individuals and businesses to become their own payment processors. It was created in 2017 by Nicolas Dorier as a non-custodial alternative to traditional crypto payment gateways. The platform's mission is to empower merchants with a secure, private, and censorship-resistant way to accept cryptocurrency payments. Because it is self-hosted, users maintain full control over their funds and private keys, eliminating counterparty risk and processing fees typically associated with third-party services. The project is maintained by a global community of developers and is supported by the non-profit BTCPay Server Foundation.
