Berkeley Endowment Management Company

Berkeley Endowment Management Company (BEMCO) was established in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a subsidiary of the UC Berkeley Foundation. Its sole purpose is to manage the investment portfolio of the Foundation's endowment and other long-term assets, with the mission of providing a stable and growing stream of income to support the University of California, Berkeley. BEMCO operates with a long-term investment horizon, aiming to preserve the endowment's purchasing power for future generations while funding current university needs, including scholarships, faculty support, and research initiatives.
