Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy

The Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy (BRED) is a peer-governed, non-profit investment fund established in 2015. Its mission is to foster a just, sustainable, and equitable economy in Baltimore by providing flexible and non-extractive financing to cooperative and democratic enterprises, with a focus on supporting businesses led by and for Black and brown communities. BRED operates as a revolving loan fund, investing in local businesses to help build community wealth and promote economic democracy.
