Its core mission was to help firms manage counterparty and credit risk, ensure regulatory compliance (such as KYC/AML), and streamline operational processes by providing accurate, standardized, and timely information on legal entities. The company was acquired by The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) in 2010. In 2017, Thomson Reuters (now Refinitiv) acquired the company, integrating its services into their risk management and entity data portfolio. Following the acquisition of Refinitiv by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), the Avox brand and services have been fully absorbed into LSEG's Data & Analytics division, and the original corporate entity was dissolved.
