ÖAMTC

The Österreichischer Automobil-, Motorrad- und Touring Club, commonly known as ÖAMTC, is a non-profit association serving as Austria's largest mobility club. Founded in its current form in 1946 through the merger of pre-existing clubs, its history dates back to 1896. The organization's core mission is to represent the interests of motorists and provide comprehensive support and services. These services include its well-known 24/7 roadside and emergency assistance ("Pannenhilfe"), technical inspections ("Pickerl"), legal advice, consumer protection, and driver safety training. Furthermore, ÖAMTC operates a fleet of air rescue helicopters and is a significant provider of travel services and insurance products, most notably the "Schutzbrief," which offers extensive personal and vehicle protection worldwide.
