American Municipal Power

Founded in 1971, American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) is a non-profit wholesale power supplier and services organization that serves 134 members across nine states. Its members are municipal electric systems, including 133 municipalities and one joint action agency. AMP's mission is to provide its members with a reliable and competitive supply of electricity and a range of energy-related services. The organization owns and operates a diverse portfolio of generation assets, including hydroelectric, natural gas, and renewables, and also provides technical, financial, legislative, and communication services to support its member communities.
