Founded by a former ADT executive, Abode Systems, Inc. was created to offer a more flexible and user-centric approach to home security. The company designs and sells do-it-yourself (DIY) smart home security systems that integrate with a wide range of smart home devices. Their mission is to provide powerful, easy-to-install security solutions without long-term contracts, giving users control over their home's safety. In 2018, Abode was acquired by the Italian multinational company Nice S.p.A., a global leader in the Home and Building Management and Security sectors, to expand its portfolio in the North American market.
