First Performance

Founded in 2011, First Performance Corporation was a technology firm specializing in providing a flexible, open-API platform for financial institutions. Its primary service allowed card issuers (banks and credit unions) to offer their cardholders real-time control over their credit, debit, and prepaid cards, including features like setting spending limits, geographical restrictions, and receiving instant transaction alerts. The company's mission was to empower cardholders and reduce fraud. In September 2017, First Performance was acquired by Mastercard to enhance its Security & Decision Intelligence suite, integrating its technology into Mastercard's global network.
