Originally founded in 1996 as "Financiera Nosotras" with a mission to empower women entrepreneurs, the institution evolved in 2008 to become "Financiera Nosotros, A.C." to broaden its reach and include men in its programs. It operates as a non-profit civil association dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and the sustainable development of micro-enterprises in Mexico.
