Family Security Financial

Founded in 1999 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Family Security Insurance Company (FSI) was established to provide homeowner's insurance. It later expanded its operations to other states, including South Carolina, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas. FSI operated as a subsidiary of United Property & Casualty Insurance Company (UPC). In early 2023, following significant financial losses, the parent company UPC was ordered into liquidation by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. As a result, Family Security Insurance Company was also placed into receivership, ceased writing new business, and is currently in the process of an orderly run-off of its existing policies.
