Founded in 2015 by CEO Barry Silbert, Digital Currency Group (DCG) is a venture capital company focusing on the digital currency market. Its mission is to accelerate the development of a better financial system by building and supporting blockchain and digital currency companies. DCG operates as a parent company and has built a significant portfolio of subsidiaries, including Grayscale Investments (a digital currency asset manager), Foundry (a digital asset mining and staking provider), and Luno (a digital asset exchange). It has invested in over 200 blockchain-related companies across the globe.
