Founded in 2017 and reportedly based in Hong Kong, CHAOEX was a global cryptocurrency trading platform that offered crypto-to-crypto spot trading services. The exchange gained some traction, particularly in the Asian market, by listing a variety of digital assets. However, in late 2020, the platform abruptly halted all user withdrawals and its communication channels went silent, leading to widespread reports and accusations of it being an exit scam, resulting in the loss of customer funds.
