Originally founded in 2012 as One Credit, the company first rebranded to Paylater before becoming Carbon in 2019. Carbon is a digital bank with a mission to empower individuals with access to credit and quality financial services. After receiving a microfinance banking license from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), it expanded its offerings from just loans to a full suite of financial products, including savings accounts, investments, and bill payment services, all accessible through its mobile application.
