Business Information Data Systems Inc. (BIDS) was a provider of specialized technology solutions for the financial industry, focusing on securities processing for retail brokerages. The company's systems handled critical back-office functions such as trade processing, clearing, settlement, and reporting. In May 2004, BIDS was acquired by SunGard Data Systems Inc., a major financial technology conglomerate, for approximately $115 million. SunGard was subsequently acquired by Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) in 2015, absorbing the technology and legacy of BIDS into its broader suite of financial products.
