Authorized by the National Bank of Angola, Bureau de Informação de Crédito, S.A. (BIC) was established to manage a central database of credit information from both positive and negative credit histories of individuals and legal entities. Its mission is to support the Angolan financial system by providing reliable data to lenders, which helps reduce credit risk, prevent over-indebtedness, and promote a more transparent and efficient credit market in the country. BIC collects, processes, and shares information with financial institutions to facilitate responsible lending decisions.
