Founded in 1997 and licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), The BENEFIT Company is the national backbone for electronic financial services in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is owned by 11 national banks and primarily aims to enable and enhance the country's financial ecosystem. Key services include operating the national ATM and Point-of-Sale (POS) switch, managing the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau, facilitating electronic funds transfers, handling national bill payments (EFawateer+), and providing the popular digital payments application, BenefitPay.
