Assurant Health

Assurant Health was a long-standing provider of individual medical, small group, and supplemental health insurance products in the United States. It operated as a business segment of its parent company, Assurant, Inc. In June 2015, Assurant announced its decision to exit the health insurance market due to significant financial losses and challenges associated with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The company subsequently wound down its operations, discontinuing the sale of new policies and selling off parts of its business, completing its exit by the end of 2016.
