Founded in 2018 by Alexander Kane, Sporttrade aims to elevate the sports betting industry by creating a more dynamic, fair, and transparent market. The platform operates as a sports trading exchange, rather than a traditional sportsbook, allowing users to buy and sell positions on game outcomes at market-driven prices. This model introduces concepts like "bids" and "asks," offering better odds, liquidity, and the ability to close out positions before an event concludes, mirroring the functionality of a stock exchange. After securing initial funding and regulatory approvals, the company officially launched its first product in New Jersey in September 2022 and later expanded to Colorado.
