PennyWorks is a DeFi-based alternative to the disappointing yields and high fees associated with traditional investing. Founders Ivan Zhang and Karol Przybytkowski began their finance careers against the backdrop of the global financial crisis. This experience helped them develop a deep understanding of how things work — and more importantly how things could be better. Realizing that the advances in decentralized finance could empower everyday people to have more agency over their money, Ivan and Karol set out to create PennyWorks, one of the first secure and easy-to-use high-yield investment accounts powered by blockchain technology.
