Diamond Standard is a financial technology company founded by Cormac Kinney with the mission to unlock diamonds as a liquid, investable asset class. The company achieves this by creating standardized "Coins" and "Bars," which each contain a statistically identical set of natural diamonds, verified by the GIA and IGI. An integrated chip in each commodity allows for easy authentication and auditing. Each physical commodity is also linked to a digital token on the Ethereum blockchain, enabling investors to trade the asset on various exchanges with the same ease as gold or cryptocurrencies, while the physical commodity remains secured in insured vaults.
