Chicago PACE

Chicago PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) is an innovative financing program that allows owners and developers of commercial properties within the City of Chicago to fund up to 100% of the costs for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation projects. The program's mission is to stimulate economic development and promote sustainability by providing access to affordable, long-term capital. Financing is provided by private capital providers and is repaid as a special assessment on the property's tax bill, with the assessment transferring to the new owner upon sale. The program is sponsored by the City of Chicago and administered by Loop-C-PACE LLC.
