Founded in 1987, CardWorks is a privately held company that provides a wide range of servicing and support operations for credit card and installment loan portfolios on behalf of banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions. The company specializes in every aspect of the account lifecycle, from application processing and customer service to collections and fraud prevention. CardWorks is one of the largest privately-held acquirers of credit card portfolios in North America and also operates its own issuing bank, Merrick Bank.
