LaBranche Structured Products, LLC was the division of LaBranche & Co., Inc. responsible for designing and issuing structured notes and other complex financial instruments. Historically, its parent company, LaBranche & Co., was one of the largest and most prominent specialist firms on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), responsible for maintaining fair and orderly markets in specific stocks. The structured products division leveraged this market expertise to create investment vehicles linked to equities, indices, commodities, and other asset classes. Following significant market changes and financial pressures, the parent company was acquired by Cowen Group, Inc. in 2011, and the LaBranche brand and its specific divisions were subsequently dissolved.
