The Delaware Board of Trade (DBOT) was established as the first and only blockchain-enabled national securities exchange for the listing and trading of equity and debt securities of early-stage and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It received regulatory approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and began operations. In 2017, the company was acquired by Ideanomics (formerly Seven Stars Cloud Group, Inc.). In March 2019, Ideanomics completed the sale of DBOT to a third party, and the platform's original operations have since become inactive.
