Established in 2011, Credit Risk Connection (CRC) was created "for the industry, by the industry" as a UK-based, not-for-profit organization. Its primary mission is to provide a central, secure repository of credit information that allows its member companies to share data on customer credit performance. By contributing and accessing this shared data, members can make more informed lending decisions, better assess credit risk, identify potential fraud, and reduce bad debt. The service is designed for businesses in sectors such as alternative lending, motor finance, and retail finance.
