Charity Charge

Founded in Austin, Texas by Stephen Garten, Charity Charge began as a Public Benefit Corporation with a mission to turn everyday credit card purchases into automatic donations for any nonprofit in the U.S. It offered a Mastercard that allowed cardholders to earn 1% cash back in the form of a tax-deductible donation to the nonprofit of their choice. In 2022, Charity Charge was acquired by B-Generous, another public benefit corporation, to expand its services. The combined entity now focuses on innovative fundraising solutions, including B-Generous's flagship "Donate Now, Pay Later™" product, which allows donors to finance their contributions over time.
