CNote is an impact investment platform that aims to close the wealth gap in underserved communities across the United States. Founded in 2016 by Catherine Berman and Yuliya Tarasava, the company channels capital from investors to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and other local mission-driven lenders. These institutions, in turn, provide affordable funding for small businesses, affordable housing, and economic development in low-income communities. CNote offers fixed-income products that allow both accredited and non-accredited investors to earn a competitive return while creating positive social change.
