Founded in 1947, Artigiancredito is a cooperative company operating as a "Confidi," a mutual guarantee institution under Italian law. Its primary mission is to support the economic development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly in the artisan sector, by facilitating their access to finance. The company achieves this by issuing direct credit guarantees to banks on behalf of its member businesses, thereby reducing the risk for lenders and improving loan accessibility and terms. Artigiancredito is a supervised financial intermediary registered under Article 106 of the Italian Consolidated Banking Act (TUB), operating under the vigilance of the Bank of Italy.
