Founded in 1997, African Banking Corporation (BancABC) is a pan-African financial services group with a significant presence in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The bank provides a comprehensive portfolio of services including retail and business banking, corporate and investment banking, and treasury services. Historically part of Atlas Mara Limited, BancABC's operations in Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, and Tanzania have been acquired by Access Bank Plc, a major Nigerian multinational commercial bank, aiming to create a stronger and more extensive banking network across Africa. The bank continues to operate under the strong BancABC brand, focusing on innovation and customer-centric financial solutions in its respective markets.
