Founded in 2012 by Ana Barrera and Manuel Jiménez, Aflore is a fintech company dedicated to promoting financial inclusion in Latin America. Its innovative business model is built on a "network of trust," utilizing community leaders as "Informal Advisors" (Consejeros/as). These advisors leverage their personal relationships and knowledge of their community to recommend friends and family for loans and other financial products, effectively acting as a bridge for individuals who lack a formal credit history and cannot access traditional banking services. Aflore provides the technology, platform, and capital to enable this network-based distribution of financial services.
