Originally founded as "Splittable" in 2014 and later rebranded, Acasa aimed to simplify the financial complexities of shared living for renters. The company developed a mobile application that allowed housemates to automatically split bills, track shared expenses, and manage payments in one place. Its mission was to eliminate the stress and awkwardness of managing money in a shared home. Despite its initial success and user base, the company announced it was ceasing operations and officially closed its services on February 28, 2023.
