Building Societies Association

Established in 1869, the Building Societies Association (BSA) is the primary trade body for all 42 building societies and 7 credit unions in the United Kingdom. Its core mission is to champion the principle of mutual ownership and advocate for its members' interests within the financial sector. The BSA engages in lobbying government, regulators, and other key stakeholders to create a favorable operating environment, while also promoting the benefits of building societies to the public and providing essential information, research, and support services to its member institutions.
