Braid, PBC was a San Francisco-based fintech startup that developed an application for creating shared "money pools." Its mission was to simplify the process of collecting, managing, and spending money as a group for shared goals, trips, or household expenses. The service allowed users to create pools, invite others to contribute, and spend funds directly from the pool using a dedicated debit card. Despite raising seed funding, the company announced its shutdown and ceased all operations on May 8, 2023, citing an inability to find a sustainable path forward.
